Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a Call Center? How does it function?

Technically a Call Center is a point where calls are received on the behalf of an organization. Normally, a customer dials a toll free number to reach a customer care center (Call Center) where a trained customer care executive answers the queries.

In a Call Center, the role of the customer care executive is to attend the queries of the clients of an organization and provide them the sought information using a database.

What are the types of Call Centers?

There are two types of Call Centers:
(1) In-Bound Call Center
(2) Out-Bound Call Center

In an In-Bound Call Center, the customer care executive attends the in-coming calls of the customer to provide the requested information. The customer care executive may be required to update the information provided by the customer.

In an Out-Bound Call Center, the customer care executive makes an out-going call to the customer or a probable customer. Out-Bound Call Centers are used for a follow-up on overdue account holders or for marketing a new product of services.
